ELECTRONICS and SOLDERING
The early stages require a one-to one supervision so I recommend a maximum
of six participants per session.
Mass production techniques dominate the consumer market but there is a
significant number of hobbyists and enthusiasts. I plan to introduce the skill of
soldering and then diversify into circuit planning, construction and usage. For
ease of use for this age group I will concentrate on “through-hole” architecture
and components before moving on to some “surface-mount” circuitry.
Due observance will be paid to safety by way of an introductory talk and the use
of safe practises and protective equipment.
I have a selection of kits including doorbell, sound-
operated switch, digital clock, ‘phone signal detector,
digital dice, crystal radio, superhet am/fm radio, light
sensor switch, etc
